On the edge of the ancient town of Selcuk, Turkey, lies the ruins of Roman Ephesus, which was once the capital of Asia Minor. However, the basilica of St. John, built by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century A.D. draws many pilgrims to the tomb of St. John himself.
