Turbulent skies boiled over the small town of Cowley, Alberta just before sunset on January 4. The wind was strong, but this photographer braved the elements to snap the sunset.
On a windy day in the Crowsnest Pass, I stopped along the highway to take a photo of the centuries old Burmis Tree. The tree, some 800 years old, has welcomed people home to the valley and is a true statement of the strength of the people.
Taken over my hometown of Calgary, Alberta, the lights of the city are striking when taken by a timed exposure. A orangey haze sat over the city, lit up red with extra light from the camera.
