Remembering a whirlwind Hong Kong bus tour
After a 14 hour plane ride from Vancouver, my family and I touched down in Hong Kong. We got our first glimpses of China when we wheeled our bags into the main terminal of the steel and glass behemoth International Airport.
With a six hour layover ahead of us and transit passes in hand, we decided to jump on a whirlwind bus tour of the city. Avid travelers already know that leaving the airport is usually a gamble, but through organization, one can see the quickly see major city sights.
After asking questions, we hopped aboard a double decker bus that was to take us to the Peak Tram. For those of you who have never had the opportunity to visit Hong Kong, an old train called the Peak Tram hauls people up quite a steep mountain to overlook the stunning city.
