I enjoyed spending my time walking along Dingle Harbour when I was in Dingle, Ireland. It’s a perfect place to get away from the tourists and enjoy the fishing boats in their comings and goings.
Bus tours to Ireland’s Cliffs of Moher (County Clare) are a perfect way to see this unbelievable landscape. The tiny fishing village of Portmagee has always been known for its boats that go to the historic Skellig Islands. Since the latest Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, was filmed here, it’s seen a massive influx of tourists.
Cahersiveen is the largest town outside Portmagee Ireland. Many people use this community as a stopping off point to visit the Ring of Kerry. Construction started at Dun Aengus Stone Fort on Inishmore (Aran Islands) in 1,100 BCE, and straddles both the Bronze and Iron ages. It’s an amazing feat of engineering, and when one walks through it’s hallowed gates, it’s easy to see how simple it would be to protect this location.
