The Stone of Destiny at Ireland’s Hill of Tara was once the reigning seat of the High King of Ireland. Travel Photography by Krushworth.

The Hill of Tara is in the Boyne River Valley and is the ancient site where the High Kings of Ireland were crowned. These actions go back thousands of years.

Saint Patrick lit his Easter bonfires at the nearby Hill of Slane in the fourth century AD, much to the hatred of the pagan High King.
