Masada, Israel – Israel Travel Photography – Ancient Fortress at Masada

Masada, Israel, travel, photography, photos, culture, life, travel photography
Masada, Israel is a mountain top fortress that was the summer palace of Herod the Great. However, it’s famous across Israel for being the last stand of the Jews after the First Jewish-Roman War.

Instead of being killed, they all committed mass suicide. Even to this day, visitors can still see the outlines of the many Roman forts that once besieged this amazing, yet sombre fortress.
