Rescued in a front end loader, we dipped into the Highwood River, the bucket skimming the turbulent river. We passed by a house in Wallaceville that looked like a scene right out of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Three hours later, much of High River would be under anywhere from 8 to 15 feet of water. Follow my blog for a continuing photographic story of the floods that devastated my community.
